Zero to Six

At Zero To Six, we are a team of colleagues who worked together on a groundbreaking 10-year research project with the NHS and NSPCC which looked at improving outcomes for young children and their parents/carers who had experienced difficult and traumatic events in their lives.

We loved the work and seeing the difference that these interventions made in the lives of young children and their families. We were moved by how children and their parents/carers were able to take time to talk and think about the events in their lives even when things were at their most difficult,  

We were keen to develop and expand the service.

However, once the research came to an end, we were frustrated to find that these interventions were difficult to access through local services and so we set up this service dedicated to working with young children and their parents/carers.

Our service includes clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers with decades of experience working with young children and families with complex needs, both within the NHS, children's social care, and Family Justice settings.

We know that there are wider factors in society and life that can make things more challenging, such as poverty, racism, housing instability, disability, and more. We take a whole-picture approach to understanding family life.

Our goal is to identify family strengths and support relationships, as well as helping families heal and grow after stressful experiences. 

Our clinic is based in 10 Windsor Walk, South London, UK. We offer some of our  interventions online.
