At Zero To Six, we work with young children and families where there have been stressful experiences that may have affected the child and/or family. This may include loss, separations, trauma, illness/injury, abuse, and other stressful life events. We understand that difficult experiences can impact relationships: they can be disruptive and potentially have a lasting impact. Parents or carers might seek out support because they are hoping for things to be better, or to change a pattern that is not helping or healthy for them or their family. This can include intergenerational patterns of relating and/or intergenerational trauma. We know that it’s important for you to do what’s best for your family and that you need to work with a team who you can trust.
We can work with families in the perinatal period, up to three months pre-natally and any time postnatally. We also work with young children who have been in care and offer post-adoption support.
We understand that families come in all shapes and sizes, with different parenting and support structures in different families. We want to understand your unique family and culture.
Our services are usually for families where there is a child who is under six years old. However, our collective training means there is some flexibility around this. At Zero To Six, we work directly with children, parents/carers, and liaise with other professionals/teams who are involved, especially educational, health, and social care professionals.
